Riker ~ “Nice fucking try. I’m not giving you that shit. Hads is the only one around that knows it and when she says it, I’m usually in trouble. So for you, it’s Reed ‘Riker’ Collins and I’m sticking to that, because no one will hold that one over my head.” He shakes his head and offers a huge smile over to me.

Stacey ~ Oh my god, is it just me or does that dirty talking mouth make me want to go grab the spare pair of panties I may or may not have brought.

Place you call Home
Riker ~ “We are in Atlanta. I don’t think I could ever leave this fucking place. It’s my home, me and my family’s home and the only one I’ve really ever had. “

Stacey ~ Remind me to check apartment rentals in the Atlanta area....

Height and Weight
Riker ~ “Six-foot-two and 210. Now, that I don’t have to watch my weight I’m able to eat whatever the fuck I want and loving ever single damn second of it.”

Stacey ~ Now I know it can't be just me picturing him enjoying a big hot fudge sundae straight from my naked body...right?

Eye Color
Riker ~ “Hads says breathtakingly hazel. Does that count?”

Stacey ~ Let me just say Hads knows what she is talking about. They are breathtaking. It's hard for me to look away.

Occupation
Riker ~ “I actually started working for the league and finding some new talent for them. But what I live for is training some kids at Sparrow and Star’s Haven, that wouldn’t get a chance normally.”

Stacey ~ Ovary overload ladies. Hearing this man talk about kids. A girl can only take so much.

How did you first approach SL Ziegler about your story?

Riker ~ “I went up to her when she was out drinking at a bar, told her part of it and it sucked her in. The rest is history. If I’m being honest, I don’t think she would have given me a second thought if it wasn’t for the wine she had before I got there.”

Stacey ~ “Well all I have to say to that is THANK GOD FOR WINE because your story was amazing.”

If you could change one thing about your story what would it be?

Riker ~ “Good god, you are pulling out the big guns aren’t you? I wouldn’t ever have left Hads in the first place. That is my single fucking mistake that pulled us down the spiral, that at times I didn’t think we would get out of. Thank god I got my head out of my ass though. I don’t want to even think about where our life would be if I didn’t.”

Stacey ~ “ I think it's safe to say that we all agree. Well said.”

Can you give us a glimpse of five years after the story ended?

Riker ~ “Owen is almost six, and Hads got her girl,Thea two years ago. She looks just like her Mama so I’m keeping the shotgun handy for all the fuckers that come for her. And we are actually in the process of adopting now. We aren’t sure how many we will adopt but our house sure will be filled with a bunch of kids.”

Stacey ~ “Laaaaadies. Listen to this guy. Doesn't he just melt your heart.”

Riker ~ -wink-

Stacey ~ I am dying y'all. Literally dying.

Do you feel your story is finished or will we possibly get another glimpse?

Riker ~ “Maybe, I think our story will never be finished because shit keeps getting better. Now just if it gets told, that is a whole different story.”

Stacey ~ “Well, you can bet your ass as soon as this interview is over I'm headed to the nearest liquor store to buy a case of wine for Mrs. Ziegler.” -wink-

(At this point Reed raises out of his chair and reaches forward to give me a high five. He touched me ladies! I am NEVER WASHING THIS HAND!)

What's your idea of the perfect date?

Riker ~ “Damn this keeps getting deeper doesn’t it. Well it always ends with wall bounding dirty sex. But the girls don’t want to hear that.”

Stacey ~ Oh yes. Yes we do.

Riker ~ “I love taking Hads out on our four wheeler at night. Just me and her, no kids, no cell phone, nothing. We have a little lake on our property that we escape too and just talk about anything and everything. It’s our fucking reconnecting time after the crazy day. Now, don’t worry we never leave the kids in the house alone. Thanks to Hads new step mom.”

If you were in a room with a group of your #1 fans, what would you say to them?

Riker ~ “Never give up. You want something, fight for it. No matter what it is. Someone tells you that you can’t, fucking fight more for it. In the end, it makes it that much sweeter when you make it.”

Stacey ~ Sweeter indeed.

(At this point I can't resist leaning forward and giving him a high five.)

Some say book boyfriends don’t exist, what do you say to that?

Riker ~ “Can I laugh in their face? We totally are here and we aren’t going anywhere, so deal.”

Stacey ~ Take that haters.

For people who have not read your story…let them know why they should.

Riker ~ “Because it has me in it. Just kidding but seriously it’s a story that will drive you mad but in the best way possible. Hads and me had our first chance, second chance, hell forth and filth. But we are here, happy, stable. Together and full of fucking hope for what our future holds. That right there is more than I can ever ask for. It’s a damn dream, one I never want to wake up on.”

With one very...very...very long hug good-bye (he smells so good), we part ways. Thank you so much SL Ziegler for this awesome opportunity.

This was an amazing story, I felt on edge from beginning to very end. One step forward and two steps back, that seemed to be the theme of this story.
