Look out Jonah, Blake, Rex, Cameron and Mason...there's a new kid in town and his name is Lucas...or should I call him Gage.
We all know this author can write the shit out of fighter romance. I'm pretty sure there isn't a woman around who has read here fighting series and NOT fallen completely in love with one or more of those guys.
But, can Mrs. Salsbury pull off a romance thriller? Can she give us a story that is nothing like we are use to reading from her? Can she make us fall for a man as deeply as we have fallen for our favorite fighters? Can she give us that massive book hangover that we get at the end of each and every one of her stories?
Two words.....FUCK YES.
Romance writing with a touch of suspense, a dash of thrill, a pinch of passion and whole fucking lot of perfection. Mrs. Salsbury, welcome to the world of serious romance. You have fucking arrived.
This story was off the charts amazing. The ability this author has to give us MULTIPLE (wink) personalities and have you truly believing all these people exist. An author is one person...ONE PERSON. To be able to write a story in a way that makes me feel connected to each character. She gives us the feeling of being in the moments, as they are happening...a fly on the wall some would say. I can think of one other person that writes first person as well as Jamie Salsbury and you may have heard of her. JR Ward ring a bell?
I'm not even done with this book yet but I had to run to my computer and get my thoughts down. Can I already tell you I have fallen hard and will have the hangover to prove it?
Yes.
How do I already know?
I don't want it to end. I am dying to know how it ends but don't want to get there just yet. I find myself reading extremely slow and soaking it all in. You can only read a story for the first time once, you know.
For those of you who are a fan of JB Salsbury buying this book is a no-brainer. You loved her fighter boys and promise me you will welcome Lucas with open arms. Has he reached the level of our beloved Jonah, Blake and Rex? Without a doubt, and mind you I haven't even finished the book yet.
Fast forward a few hours. I am done. I have finished. I am floored. I expect greatness from this author and she absolutely did not disappoint.
Book hangover? Abso-fucking-lutely.
This story will leave you thinking about it LONG after you have finished.
