Interview with Merrick McCoy from Classic (Adrenaline Series book 1) by Xavier Neal

I was so excited to get a chance to sit down with the legendary Merrick McCoy.  Thank you so much Xavier Neal for allowing me this once in a lifetime chance.
Buckle up ladies....

Merrick: That's a little personal....Shouldn't you ask me something I'm more comfortable with, like my color of boxers or if I choose to wear any?

Romance Ever After: Shit! Why didn't I think of that?!  

Xavier: Merrick, just answer the question.  

Merrick: Fine. I'm 6'0 or something and weigh just enough to hold my girlfriend up against the wall while we-

Romance Ever After: Is it getting hot in here?? *totally picturing me as that girl*

Xavier: Merrick!  

Merrick chuckles: You should've went with the underwear question...

Hair color:  

Merrick: Brown. Like a McCoy should be. But you can see that.  

Xavier: Don't be rude.

Romance Ever After: *Xavier fist pump*

Eye color:  

Merrick: Blue...but you can see that...so is this a trick question?  

Xavier: Really?  

Merrick: It feels like a trick question...is this a riddle? Did I fail? I..I...I can't fail another test.

Romance Ever After: No trick. *Anything to continue gazing in to them*

Occupation:  

Merrick: Romantic.  

Xavier: That's not a job genius.  

Merrick: Is this my interview or yours?  

Xavier: Answer the question or I will cancel this whole thing.

Romance Ever After: NOOOOOO  

Merrick: Ugh. Fine. I'm an artist...at the moment I do some artwork for a private early childhood education center.

Romance Ever After: I knew that *wink*  
Xavier: Sound snootier. 

*Merrick says it in a British accent.*  

*Xavier rolls eyes*

How did you first approach Xavier Neal about telling your story?  

Merrick grins: I politely-  

Xavier: Nothing about you demanding in the middle of my bubble bath you have a story that 'just has to be told' was polite.

Romance Ever After: Interrupting a bubble bath....that's not weird at all....  

Merrick: My interview ma'am. My question. My-  

Xavier: Lies? Your lies?  

Merrick smirks: I...rather...less than charmingly demanded she needed to hear my story. She wrote down the idea and then a little while later,we began to argue until I refused to be ignored any longer.  

Xavier: You're not like a religious icon because you protested my brain until you got your way. That just makes you a brat.  

Merrick: A romantic brat with an amazing story....

Romance Ever After: Amazing story, you got that right.

If you could change one thing about your story, what would it be?

*Merrick's smile drops*: Um....those we lost, we never would've.

Romance Ever After: *Hangs head and sighs* I. Totally. Agree.  

*Xavier gives him a small rub on the back*

Romance Ever After: How about a group hug. That shit was awful.  

Can you give us a glimpse of life 5 years after your story ended?

Merrick chuckles: Five years? Holy hell. Graduated. Married. Maybe kids? I don't know. Everyone else has kids...maybe kids? I don't know. Whatever or however five years from now is, one thing is for sure. Jovi's with me. Always. I'll do anything to insure that.

Romance Ever After: Can I be Jovi?

Tell me one thing about you that we would be surprised to hear?

Merrick: Um....*mumbles mumbles Magic Mike mumbles*

Xavier giggling: What's that now? A little louder for everyone....

*Merrick rolls his eyes* I saw the Magic Mike movie with Jovi.

Xavier: And....

*Merrick grumbles* It was kinda funny. But I look better naked. ALOT better naked.

Romance Ever After: No doubt about that. I imagine that is....Again...is it getting hot in here?

Do you feel your story is finished or will we possibly get another glimpse?

Merrick: I think there's a little more left to it... *glances at Xavier* but that's not completely up to me...  

Xavier: There will be most likely one more with him and Jovi, but for now, Merrick should focus on graduating and learning to live life away from his brothers.  

Merrick: Which is harder at times than I thought it would be. I didn't think I'd miss being 'A McCoy' so much sometimes, but I do. However...I love just being Merrick and having my own friends and my own life outside of that name. It's a double dipped paintbrush.  

Xavier: Instead of sword. I see what you did there.

Romance Ever After: *Merrick and I fist pump* I TOUCHED HIM  

*Merrick winks*

Tell me your idea of the perfect date? (don't leave anything out)

Merrick wets his lips: The perfect date? It would start with taking Jovi to her favorite restaurant, walking to a less visited area to spray paint her a mural maybe on the side walk or the side of an old building, a romantic car ride around the city, stopping to make out and finger bang her under the stars-  

*Xavier whispers*: Less romantic when you say finger bang...

Romance Ever After: Yep, it's definitely hot in here.  

Merrick: And then I'd bring her back to my empty apartment where rose petals would be on the ground leaving a trail to the bathroom where we'd share in a bubble bath that would definitely include slippery fun before helping dry her off with my tongue-  

Xavier: That's not how tongues work...  

Merrick:-and spending the rest of the night hearing her moan my name until she literally couldn't take any more, which is when i would hold her until we both fell asleep.

Romance Ever After: *fanning myself* Holy hell.  

Xavier: I feel like this is an anniversary you're planning.  

*Merrick winks*

If you were in a room with a group of your #1 fans, what would you say to them?

*Merrick laughs warmly*: You ladies are beautiful. 

Romance Ever After: We are aren't we.

Some say book boyfriends don't exist, what would you say to that?

Merrick: That often people fear what they cannot see. Xavier: Well played.

Romance Ever After: Agreed.  

Merrick: Doesn't make me any less real or any less valuable.

Romance Ever After: Best. Answer. Ever.

*Xavier shakes her head*: You just had to toss in the name like an infomercial.

*Merrick laughs proudly*
