No job. No apartment. I’m living on the streets with the other junkies. As little as I had to offer Tria before, I have nothing to give her now. The only way out is to come clean and tell Tria the truth about my past, but the idea of reliving the memories is so painful, I can’t think about it long enough to figure out a solution.
I’ve hit rock bottom, and I don’t even know which way is up any more.
EXCERPT
I reached out and touched the edge of the pillow. It was insanely soft and warm. I stroked it, and images of Tria’s breasts crawled through my head, making me smile. I stroked my cock as I thought about her, but I couldn’t come.
I could hear a voice in the other room, but it didn’t concern me, so I didn’t move. Through heavy eyelids, I watched the piles of dirty laundry all over the floor. I found shapes of animals in the patterns, just like cloud pictures.
“The beans are gone.”
I rolled my head to the side and looked up at Krazy Katie’s face. I smiled and tried to say something, but my tongue wasn’t cooperating. I focused on her eyes as they stared down at me quizzically.
“Trains need an engineer,” Krazy Katie said.
“It’s okay,” I said. My tongue still felt weird, all numb and heavy. I twisted it around in my mouth, and it tickled my teeth. I blinked a couple of times before looking back at my neighbor. “I got the helm. I’m all good.”
Did trains have a helm, or was that just boats? I laughed.
Krazy Katie covered her eyes with one hand. I could see her chest rising and falling as she took long breaths. I started counting slowly in my head but quickly forgot the number.
“Left the station,” she said quietly. “No engineer. Kicked in the caboose. Nothing but tracks.”
She turned in slow motion, and I watched vapor trails of her dull blue T-shirt swirl around the room as she left. I heard the window slide shut and then silence.
“I’m all good,” I whispered.
There was no reply.
Even though my arms and legs were way too content to be bothered with moving, I shoved myself out of bed anyway. My rig was sitting on the kitchen table, all ready to go. I was still pretty high, but I could feel darkness closing in around me, and I didn’t want it.
I wanted warmth and happiness.
Plastic tube, arm slap, needle prick.
“Like a fucking pro.”
I lay my head on the table as the fluid sensations rippled through me. Tria didn’t matter. She’d forgive me in time. In fact, she was probably already over it. How could she not be?
“I’m good. Really, I am.”
I was never one to lie to myself, but it was getting easier all the time.

Yes...yes...a thousand times YES! The third and final installment was most definitely the best. I cried from the very beginning I was a bawling mess. I was crying practically every other page. I am so in love with Liam....completely and utterly in love. I loved him from the first page of book one. I loved him through all his ups and downs (more downs than ups). And just when I thought I couldn't love him even more, I watched him come back from the depths of hell.
I recommend this entire series to everyone, book one kind of takes you down a weird road...don't let it discourage you. Liam deserves to have his amazing story read.
Congrats Shay Savage on an amazing story! Liam will be one of my forever book boyfriends.

If you don't know me, I'm a sucker for a good fighter romance. There is just something about a strong yet sensitive fighter. That being said, the cover and the title immediately had me wanting more.
Takedown Teague... One dirty talking sexy as all hell fighter. I loved this man from the very beginning. He wasn't some high class, stuck on himself wanna be. He seemed real to me. His daily struggles were something I could believe. But man.....that dirty mouth....
'I wanted to bend her over the table right then and there. I wanted to take her on the kitchen floor. I wanted to take her on the counter. I wanted to pull her back into the bed and show her just what I could do to her. I wanted my c*ck in her so bad, I could hardly see straight.'
The early on relationship between Teague and Tria was a different one. The whole big brother vibe was a little off putting. I, for one, NEVER got that impression. Just two people trying to convince themselves there was nothing there. The sexual tension alone drove me insane!
'Since I wasn't actively seeking any of the female kind, he had to settle for my hand. He complained a bit – I have a stubborn, moody c*ck – but once he figured that was all he was going to get, he sprang to life.'
The story was there and then it just took a turn for the weird. I was all into the story and then within a matter of one page I was saying WTF??
It was there. The emotion and the attachment to these characters. It still is, the story line just went too out of control. The places it was headed was not somewhere I wanted it to go. I love this author and definitely plan on reading more in the future.

I will admit, after the first book I wasn't sure about this one. Well, I am happy to report, I loved this book. All the uneasiness of the the first story pushed aside and I was left with a story that has begging for the third and final book.
I have become extremely invested in Tria and Liam. Probably mistake number one considering I was left with the MOTHER OF ALL CLIFFHANGERS. A cliffhanger that absolutely broke my heart.
There was love, there was sex, there was angst, there was compassion and there was a crap ton of alpha. Did I mention there was a hole lot of sex?
So....I am happy that I loved it, yet totally pissed off that I have to wait for the next book. Good thing I dont have to wait long.
