Title: Love Crushed
Author: Toshia Slade
Release Date: June 11, 2015
Blurb
Career-driven, Focused, and Sensible.
Josh Murphy’s life is mapped out. Twenty-five and co-owner of a construction company, he’s ready to obtain his next goal: a wife by his side and babies to fill his house. He’s always had his eyes set on the wild and fiery Tiffany, but knew she wasn’t ready for the life he wanted. Until one drunk party snaps his restraint. It’s time to make his move and finally claim his girl.
Unbound, Wild, and Free.
Tiffany Johnson wants to fly through life. She can’t even decide on a college major, so Josh, Mr. Has-Life-Planned-Out-Perfectly, isn’t an option. Even if she does want him. But she’s not ready for that kind of commitment or to be tied down. All she’s willing to give is a little fun and adventure.
Secrets, Lies, and Deceit.
Everyone deserves to have a happily ever after, or so Tiffany thought. She was ready to give in, take the leap into forever with Josh. Until one soul-crushing phone call ruined it all.
What happens when everything you thought about love and life is crushed? Will Josh be able to fight and bring Tiffany back to the girl he fell in love with? Can he save the one girl he can’t live without and claim his feisty Kitten forever? Or has Tiffany been broken beyond repair?
So, I don't like to give too many
spoilers away in my reviews. I like to give first reactions and
emotional feedback. Well, what I am going to give you right now is a
warning. A big fat warning.
Josh is my new book boyfriend and I
just might kick your a*s if you try to take him from me.
Josh has his sh*t together. He knows
exactly what he wants, and who he wants it with. (Sadly it's not me,
in the book world anyway. But in my world, yeah, he wants me.)
He was so easy to fall in love with
from the very beginning. I found myself very protective of him early
on and I can't tell you how many times I wanted to just b*tch slap
Tiffany for not seeing what was right in front of her.
He spends most if not all of his time
trying to win the girl of his dreams, (again...not me). It doesn't
take very long for you to pray that he gets the happily ever after he
dreams of and we all know he deserves. Josh will make you feel so
many emotions. Love, lust, loneliness, sometimes sadness and in the
end hope.
You will hope he gets the girl and you
will definitely hope he gets his happily ending. Does he?? You are
going to have to buy the book to find out.
And, for the record Mrs. Toshia...In my
world it's Josh and I dancing to what is now my absolute
favorite-always-on-repeat song by Lee Brice.
Couldn't put this down, read it in one
sitting and absolutely loved every minute of it.

Excerpt
“Keep looking at me like that and I’ll be needing those hand cuffs.” His breath hot against my neck sends chills racing down my spine.
Shit. Fuck. Shit. Think fast Johnson! My heart pounds and a new pulse point has taken residence between my legs. What I wouldn’t give to squeeze my legs together to ease the burning ache.
I walk my fingers up his chest, taking in the feel of the hard muscles beneath them, and sucking down the moan begging for release. Laying my hand flat between his pecs, I give him a shove back. Schooling my features and hoping like hell the lust isn’t shining through in my eyes.
“Keep dreaming, magic. I was lost in Channing’s ‘Trick Pony’ dance. Learn moves like that…” I lean forward and get eye to eye with him. I know I’m playing with fire, but he pushes all of my buttons and I can’t stop myself. “You can do more than use the handcuffs.”
He leans down brushing his lips against the shell of my ear. "Oh, Kitten. You have no idea what moves I’ve got." A shiver races through my body and moisture pools between my legs.
Mayday, mayday. Retreat. Time to put the brakes on and pull out the bitch.
